Ecopalimpsest (Arnaud De Grave, that is) is back in Madagascar for two months to work with the AlaReLa project’s researchers on the follow up of June 2014. The main work will be to perform an iteration with the pictures taken last time, involving local actors during workshops in order to get closer to a common vision of the life of people around the Alaotra lake. Also many other ways of using photography will be envisioned: BOP’s Timeline, portraits of people and hands, “one day in the life of…” (farmers, fishermen, charcoal makers, officials from government…) all that following the scientific objectives of the AlaReLa project. Back to Europe for Xmas!

Ecopalimpsest (i.e. Arnaud De Grave) est de retour à Madagascar pour deux mois, retrouvant les chercheurs du projet AlaReLa afin de poursuivre les travaux commencés en juin 2014 (à voir ici). Le gros du travail consistera en l’itération basée sur les photos précédentes, organisation d’atelier avec les acteurs locaux pour converger vers une vision commune de la vie des gens autour du lac Alaotra. Mais d’autres fils sont à tisser : le projet Timeline de l’association BOP (en collaboration avec les objectifs scientifiques AlaReLa), des portraits un peu spéciaux, des vignettes de vie d’acteurs particuliers (fermiers, pècheurs, fabricants de charbon, officiels, etc.) De retour en Europe pour Noël !
